How Kora Manages Overcurrent Protection
(Per-Circuit Relays + Software and Hardware Safety)
Built-In Protection for Every Circuit
Kora doesn’t rely on a single point of protection. Every circuit is protected using layered safety systems—hardware first, software second.
How Protection Works
Kora uses three independent layers to keep your home safe:
- Circuit Breakers
- Traditional breakers provide primary overcurrent protection, just like a standard panel.
- Per-Circuit Relays
- Each circuit is controlled by an internal relay that can open instantly if unsafe conditions are detected.
- Software Monitoring
- Kora continuously monitors current, voltage, and temperature in real time.
If any layer detects a problem, power is safely interrupted.
What This Means for You
- Faster response to unsafe conditions
- Reduced risk of overheating or overloads
- No single failure can cause damage
Kora always fails safe, not on.
Important Notes
- Software controls never replace physical breakers
- Kora meets UL and NEC safety requirements
- Protection works automatically—no user action required
